This project was designed using BIM technology. During the documentation process, IFC files were used for the data exchange. The architectural building model was first created in REVIT, then exported to RFEM to apply loads and complete the full structural analysis and design.

The "Pneumatic Wedge Method" is a new method for the construction of double-curved concrete surfaces using pneumatic formwork. The advantage of this method is that elaborate structures for molds and scaffolding are no longer needed.
Using the "Pneumatic Wedge Method", the Vienna University of Technology has built a double-curved concrete shell as part of a research project. The deformation process and the final structural conditions have been checked with RFEM.
In 2013, a very special project was carried out in Pitigala, Sri Lanka. A bridge was designed, calculated, and built by 30 students. They are part of the university group "Engineers Without Borders Karlsruhe Institute of Technology e.V.", which realizes development projects in seven different countries.
As the geothermal energy market is continuously increasing, BAUER Maschinen GmbH, a German company working in the field of specialist foundation engineering, has developed a new deep drilling rig. Dlubal Software's German customer Ing.-Büro H.-U. Möller was in charge of the plant's structural analysis. The system is used to make borings reaching to a depth of 22,965 ft in the area of geothermal energy, oil, or gas.
In May 2012, the new Saldome2 building of the Swiss company Salt Works on the Rhine AG was officially put into operation. With a span length of 120 m (394 ft) and a height of 31.6 m (104 ft), the salt storage is the biggest dome structure in Europe. It was designed and built by Häring, a Swiss company specializing in timber technology. The structural analysis was performed by Häring engineers R. Schneider and C. Zihlmann, using the Dlubal Software programs RSTAB and TIMBER Pro.
